Hirosaki Gakuin Foreign Missionary Residence
Hirosaki was one of the few cities in northern Japan which were open to Christian missionaries in the Edo period. There are several buildings built in the Victorian style built around Hirosaki, one of which is the foreign missionary residence at Hirosaki Gakuin University. The residence is currently a museum and a tour will be possible during the conference. Other similar buildings around Hirosaki are also available for sightseeing.
